Sony a7S III 12.1MP Full-Frame Kit

This kit pairs the Sony Alpha a7S III mirrorless camera body with the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II lens. The camera features a 12.1MP Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and updated BIONZ XR processor for high sensitivity and fast performance. It is designed for video creators who need UHD 4K 120p recording with internal 10-bit 4:2:2 sampling and 16-bit raw output via HDMI.

E-mount lens installs with a simple twist

The FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II attaches to the camera's E-mount by aligning the white index markers and rotating until it clicks. No tools or firmware steps are required for the lens itself. The main issue is forgetting to remove the rear lens cap or leaving the camera powered on during the swap, which can expose the sensor to dust.

Verify E-mount body and HDMI cable for raw output

Ensure your workflow supports the full-size HDMI port for 16-bit raw video output to an external recorder. Check that your editing system handles 10-bit 4:2:2 files and the large data rates from UHD 4K 120p capture. Buyers who need higher resolution stills or a lighter zoom range should consider other configurations.
