48" 4K OLED Smart TV 120Hz

The Sony XR48A90K is a 48-inch OLED television from 2022 with a 3840 x 2160 resolution and a 120Hz panel. It uses the Cognitive Processor XR and XR Triluminos Pro to deliver deep blacks, high peak brightness and billions of accurate colours. The set includes a Walts full-motion mount compatible with 32 to 65 inch screens and a Walts screen cleaner kit.

Ideal for compact living rooms and PC gaming

This bundle suits viewers who want OLED contrast in a 48-inch form factor with HDMI 2.1-class 120Hz refresh and variable refresh rate for gaming. Buyers needing a larger screen than 48 inches, more than four HDMI inputs, or a TV above 70 lbs for the included mount should look elsewhere.

Handles 4K 120Hz gaming and HDR content

The 120Hz panel and VRR support comfortably handle 4K 120Hz signals from consoles or PCs, while OLED XR Contrast Pro and XR 4K Upscaling manage HDR and sub-4K sources. The 25W Acoustic Surface Audio system covers typical viewing distances, but dedicated surround systems will outperform it for home-cinema scale.

Questions about this item

Which VESA mounting patterns does the included Walts full-motion mount support for the 48″ OLED TV?

The supplied Walts full-motion mount is compatible with VESA patterns ranging from 100×100 up to 400×400, covering the mounting holes on the XR48A90K.

Can the Cognitive Processor XR and 120 Hz panel handle variable refresh rate signals from an older HDMI 2.0 graphics card?

Yes, the TV includes a variable refresh rate feature and four HDMI inputs, so an HDMI 2.0 source can send VRR content at up to 4K 120 Hz within the bandwidth limits of that standard.

How can I confirm the TV is displaying true 4K 120 Hz after connecting a console?

Open the on-screen information banner or the settings menu; it will show the active signal as 3840×2160 at 120 Hz when the console is outputting that mode.
