The Sophos XGS 116 is a desktop security appliance designed for small offices or branch sites that need integrated threat protection. It combines an AMD x86 CPU with a Marvell NPU to run firewall, IPS, web filtering and SD-WAN functions in a single 320 x 213 x 44 mm enclosure.

64 GB M.2 storage and 4 GB DDR4 memory

The 64 GB M.2 drive holds firmware, logs and reporting data without RAID redundancy. Four gigabytes of DDR4 memory supports the Xstream FastPath offload for trusted traffic, while the NPU handles deep packet inspection and TLS 1.3 decryption at line rate across the eight copper ports.

Eight RJ-45 GE ports, one SFP slot and dual console

Eight 10/100/1000Base-T ports and one 1000Base-X SFP cage provide flexible WAN and LAN connectivity. A front USB 2.0 port, rear USB 3.0 port, RJ-45 console and micro-USB console with included cable give multiple local management options. The external 150 W auto-ranging power adapter keeps the unit running from 100-240 VAC.
