Connects SATA drives with a 24-inch red cable supporting up to 300 MB/Sec transfer
The StarTech SATA24 is a 24-inch internal cable that connects a single SATA drive to a motherboard or controller. It suits system builders and upgraders who need a reliable data path for hard disks or solid-state drives without excess slack inside the chassis.
Compliant with Serial ATA II specifications the cable supports transfer rates up to 300 MB/sec. That bandwidth handles mechanical drives and mainstream SATA SSDs comfortably; it will bottleneck faster solid-state devices that exceed the interface limit.
Both ends carry a 7-pin female SATA data connector so the cable plugs directly into standard drive and board ports. The 24-inch length reaches across typical ATX layouts while the red jacket aids cable identification; no power conductors are included so a separate SATA power lead remains necessary.

The cable measures 24 inches end to end, giving enough slack to route around full-length cards and large CPU coolers without straining the 7-pin connectors.
Check the negotiated speed in BIOS or use a tool such as CrystalDiskInfo; a SATA II connection will report 3 Gbit/s, which matches the 300 MB/Sec specification.
Only the red 7-pin SATA data cable is supplied; a separate SATA power lead from your power supply is required for the drive.
