Four-port HDMI production switcher

The StarTech VS421HD20 routes four HDMI sources to one display, making it suited for presentation rooms, home-theatre racks or streaming desks where a single screen must show multiple 4K devices. It accepts sources up to 3840x2160 at 60Hz and passes 7.1 surround audio through the same cable.

4K 60Hz resolution ceiling

The switch tops out at 3840x2160 at 60Hz with support for 2560x1600, 1920x1200, 1920x1080 and 1280x720 at the same refresh rate. Buyers needing 4K at 120Hz, 8K at any refresh rate or HDR metadata pass-through will need a different class of switcher.

Fanless desktop operation

With no moving parts the unit runs silently on the included 100-240 V AC adapter that delivers 5 V at 2 A. The chassis stays cool enough for continuous use in ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C at 10-85 % relative humidity.
