Fanless server chassis for silent environments

The Streacom FC5 ALPHA is a fanless server rack built from extruded aluminium with a 10 mm precision CNC front panel. Its 55 mm profile allows installation in compact AV racks or home theatre cabinets. The design targets builders who need completely passive cooling for always-on server workloads.

Updated bottom panel adds drive capacity and airflow

A redesigned base panel improves internal airflow paths to lower component temperatures without fans. The revision also adds room for two extra 2.5″ drives and supports a full-size motherboard. USB 3.0 ports are placed on both sides of the chassis for balanced access, and the power LED now emits a subtle white light.

Suits silent server builds needing extra storage

This chassis fits users who prioritise zero-noise operation and a premium rack aesthetic while requiring space for multiple 2.5″ drives. Builders needing optical drive bays, active cooling support or larger 3.5″ drive arrays should consider alternative enclosures.

Questions about this item

How many additional 2.5" drives can the chassis accommodate?

The updated bottom panel design allows for two extra 2.5" drives alongside the original bays.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained fanless operation?

The heatpipe and mount upgrades raise the thermal ceiling, but the aluminium panels and redesigned airflow path define the maximum sustainable load.

How hot do the exterior surfaces get when the system runs all day?

The 10 mm CNC front panel and extruded aluminium body act as heatsinks, so surfaces become warm to the touch under continuous load.
