SATA cable set for server builds

This Supermicro CBL-0186L set supplies four round SATA cables in lengths of 56 cm, 45.5 cm, 35 cm and 23 cm. The 26 AWG conductors suit standard drive connections inside chassis where cable management matters. Each cable uses a straight-to-right-angle layout for tighter routing.

Capacity and headroom for drive arrays

Four cables cover a typical four-drive backplane or a small RAID group without extra purchases. The shortest 23 cm lead reaches adjacent ports while the 56 cm lead spans full-depth enclosures. Builders needing more than four drives or longer runs for external bays will need additional cables.

Questions about this item

Will the 23 cm cable reach a drive cage mounted close to the motherboard SATA ports in a compact server chassis?

Yes, the 23 cm length is designed for short internal runs and will connect drives positioned near the board without excess slack.

How can I verify the cables are functioning correctly once installed?

The system BIOS and operating system should detect each attached drive at full SATA speed with no errors reported in SMART data or system logs.
