Rack Cabinet for 19-Inch Equipment

The SYSRACKS SRF 18.900 is a floor-standing 18U server rack cabinet designed to house standard 19-inch rackmount servers, network switches, AV gear and telecom hardware. It ships fully assembled on heavy-duty locking casters with levelling feet, so it can be rolled into position and secured without professional installation. The 35-inch depth accommodates deeper chassis and leaves room for structured cable runs behind the mounted equipment.

Suitable Environments and Limitations

This enclosure suits small-business server rooms, home labs, studio racks and office IT closets that need a secure, ventilated cabinet with integrated cooling and a ready-to-use power strip. Buyers who require a wall-mount form factor, a deeper bay for blade chassis exceeding 35 inches, or a significantly lighter unit for frequent relocation should consider other form factors.

Deciding Specification: 18U Internal Height

The cabinet provides exactly 18 rack units of vertical mounting space; equipment lists that exceed 18U will not fit, while shorter builds leave unused capacity. Match your current device count and near-term growth against this fixed height to confirm the rack meets the requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 42-inch tall, 162 lb rack on its heavy-duty casters and leveling feet?

Roll the rack into position, lock all four caster brakes, then lower the leveling feet until the cabinet sits firmly and no longer rocks on the floor.

Which cooling components will need cleaning or replacement over time?

The four fans in the 440 m³/h cooling module and the thermostat sensors should be checked periodically and cleaned or replaced if airflow drops.

What load limit will I reach first if I keep adding equipment to the 18U, 19-inch rails?

The rack is rated for 1600 lbs total weight capacity, so that structural limit will be reached before the 18U of vertical space fills up.
