Product identity

The Tarps Direct 10' x 60' high-visibility yellow poly tarp weighs 3.3 oz per square foot and measures 7-8 mil thick. It is built for contractors, event crews and property owners who need a lightweight, waterproof cover that resists acid, tearing and mildew. Grommets placed every 36 inches plus corner grommets give multiple tie-down points for secure fastening.

Practical limits

The tarp is sold as a cut size so the finished sheet will be 6 inches or 3-5% shorter than the listed dimensions. Polyethylene sheeting of this weight is not designed for permanent structural roofing or long-term UV exposure beyond the treated durability. Acid and mildew resistance helps in damp environments but does not replace specialised chemical barriers.

Compatibility check

Verify that the reduced finished dimensions still cover the intended area once the 6 inch or percentage shrinkage is applied. Ensure anchor points on your frame, vehicle or structure align with the 36-inch grommet spacing for even tension. Confirm the yellow colour meets any site-specific visibility or safety requirements before ordering.

Questions about this item

Which size should I choose for a standard construction site?

This tarp is listed as 10 by 60 feet cut size; after hemming it will measure 6 inches or 3 to 5 percent shorter in each dimension.

What does the 3.3 oz weight mean for daily handling?

At 3.3 ounces per square foot the material is light enough to manoeuvre alone yet thick enough at 7 to 8 mil to resist tearing when dragged over rough surfaces.

How far apart are the grommets and what spacing does that give me?

Grommets are placed every 36 inches along the edges and at each corner, providing regular tie-down points for ropes or bungee cords.
