High-Visibility Yellow Poly Tarp

The Tarps Direct 20' x 30' yellow poly tarp is built for users who need a conspicuous, weatherproof cover. Its high-visibility colour and UV treatment make it suitable for runway closures, job-site marking and general outdoor protection. Grommets placed every 36 inches and at the corners provide multiple tie-down points for secure fastening. The cut-size finish means the final dimensions measure 6 inches or 3-5% shorter than listed.

Lightweight Waterproof Construction

Weighing 3.3 ounces per square foot with a 7-8 mil thickness, the tarp remains light enough for quick deployment while resisting water, acid, tearing and mildew. The polyethylene material handles repeated exposure to sun and moisture without heavy sagging or stiffening. No powered ventilation or special handling is required during normal use. The UV-treated coating preserves colour brightness and fabric integrity over extended outdoor periods.

Upgrade From Basic Blue Tarps

This tarp replaces standard lightweight covers when visibility, tear resistance or acid resistance are required. The jump is worth it for airport operations, triage colour-coding systems or any site where a bright yellow marker improves safety. Buyers who need a heavier industrial vinyl or a fire-retardant rating should look elsewhere. The cut-size allowance also means precise dimensions are not guaranteed for tight-fitting frames.

Questions about this item

How do I secure the tarp using the grommets placed every 36 inches?

Thread rope or bungee cords through each grommet and the corner grommets, pulling evenly to avoid stress on any single point; the 36-inch spacing gives multiple tie-down options for wind resistance.

Will the yellow colour fade or the material degrade after months in the sun?

The tarp is UV treated for durability, which slows fading and brittleness; expect the high-visibility yellow to last through extended outdoor exposure before replacement is needed.

How much will the actual coverage shrink after the edges are hemmed?

Because the listed 20 x 30 dimensions are cut size, the finished tarp measures 6 inches or 3 to 5 percent shorter on each side, reducing the covered area slightly.
