Schuko Female to NEMA 5-15P Adapter

This adapter connects a European Schuko plug to a North American NEMA 5-15P outlet. It suits travellers or installers who need to power a Schuko-equipped device from a standard US wall socket. The compact black housing weighs 40g and ships as a single unit.

Voltage Not Converted

The adapter does not transform voltage; it only changes the physical connector. Users must verify that the attached device or its power supply accepts the local mains voltage before plugging in. Ignoring this step can cause permanent damage to the equipment.

Rated 15A at 250V

The adapter is rated for 15A and 250V using PVC and pure copper contacts. This rating determines whether the part can handle the intended load safely. Exceeding the rated current or voltage creates a fire and shock hazard.

Questions about this item

Which version of this adapter should I choose for a European plug going into a US outlet?

This single model converts a European Schuko female plug to a US NEMA 5-15P male plug, so one version covers that direction.

What does the 15 A rating mean when I plug my device into a US socket?

The adapter is rated for up to 15 A at 250 V, so it will carry the current your device draws up to that limit without overheating.

Does the NEMA 5-15P interface limit the voltage I can use?

The adapter handles up to 250 V but does not transform voltage; your device must already support the local mains voltage.
