Splits one 15-pin SATA power connector into two for HDDs, SSDs, optical drives and PCI cards, supplied as an 18 AWG two-pack
This Y-splitter cable powers two Serial ATA devices from a single power supply connection. It suits builders adding a 2.5" SSD, 3.5" HDD, optical drive or PCIe card when SATA power ports are limited. The 2-pack provides a spare for upgrades or repairs.
Each splitter carries one 15-pin male and two 15-pin female connectors on flexible 18 AWG conductors. Snug-fitting drive connectors with channel guides on the supply end resist accidental disconnection. The 8-inch harness keeps routing tidy inside most tower chassis.
The cable avoids the cost of replacing a power supply simply to gain extra SATA power outputs. It is not suited for installations that need more length than the supplied harness or for powering devices beyond the 3.3V, 5V and 12V rails provided by the existing supply.

The splitter delivers 3.3V, 5V and 12V from a single PSU SATA power port to two drives, using 18 AWG conductors for each rail.
The harness is 8 inches long with snug-fitting 15-pin female drive connectors and a male PSU connector that includes channel guides for a secure fit.
Plug the male end into the PSU SATA power port, then attach both female ends to the drives; the step many miss is verifying the PSU can handle the extra 3.3V, 5V and 12V load before powering on.
