Pet fever thermometer

The DTK-117Y is a veterinary thermometer designed for dogs and cats. Its flexible tip makes rectal measurement more comfortable for the animal. The device delivers a reading in 20 seconds and stores the last result for reference. A waterproof build allows thorough cleaning after every use.

Measurement speed and range

The thermometer provides a result in 20 seconds, which limits how quickly repeated checks can be performed. Normal canine temperature ranges from 38.3 to 39.2°C, while human normal range is 36.4 to 37.6°C. Users must know the correct species baseline to interpret the reading accurately. The device does not signal fever automatically.

Flexible tip design

The flexible tip is the single feature that determines comfort during rectal use on pets. A rigid tip would cause distress and increase injury risk, especially with uncooperative animals. Buyers who need a non-contact or ear-canal method should choose a different type of thermometer.
