Ready-to-Use Team Communication

The TID TD-V2 six-pack supplies licence-free FRS radios pre-set to matching frequencies so families, event staff and jobsite crews can talk immediately. Each unit offers 22 channels with 155 privacy codes to reduce unwanted chatter, and the included acoustic-tube headsets enable hands-free VOX operation in noisy environments.

All-Day Power and Rugged Build

A 1500 mAh battery delivers up to 35 hours of continuous use and recharges via the supplied USB cable. The water-resistant PC+ABS enclosure resists drops and vibration, while the high-quality speaker maintains clear audio in harsh conditions. Units operate at 3.7 volts across the 400-470 MHz band.

Extended Range for Open Ground

Customer tests report reliable coverage of 0.7-1 mile in complex spaces and up to 5.5 miles in open terrain, making the set suitable for large campuses, cruise decks or back-country trails. Buyers needing multi-building penetration beyond these distances or encrypted digital modes should evaluate other platforms.

Questions about this item

How do I install the earpieces and set VOX sensitivity so hands-free works reliably?

Plug each acoustic tube headset into the radio's accessory jack, then on channel 5 hold PTT and SK1 together to enter the VOX menu and choose a sensitivity level from 0 to 5.

What maintenance will the 1500 mAh batteries need after repeated charge cycles?

The built-in 1500 mAh cells are rechargeable via the included USB cable; when run time drops well below the rated 35 hours, replace the entire radio unit as the batteries are not user-serviceable.

At what distance does the 400-470 MHz signal typically fade first in dense terrain?

In complex environments such as buildings or woods the practical range is about 0.7 mile before the signal becomes unreliable.
