20 ft AC power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug and IEC C13 receptacle, 18 AWG, 10 A, 125 V
This 20 ft AC power cord connects a computer or peripheral to a standard wall outlet. It carries a NEMA 5-15P plug on one end and an IEC 60320 C13 receptacle on the other. The cable suits offices or home setups where the mains socket sits farther from the hardware than a typical short lead allows. It is supplied new and UL Listed.
The 18 AWG conductors handle the rated current without excessive heating during normal operation. Insulation and connector mouldings are designed for 60 Hz mains frequency. No active cooling is present, so the cord runs silently and adds negligible power loss across its 6.09 m length.
Both connectors are fully moulded, resisting strain when the cable is routed behind desks or through cable trays. The C13 end fits most PC power supplies and monitor inlets, while the 5-15P plug matches North American 15 A receptacles. The 20 ft length reduces the need for daisy-chained extensions, but the fixed 18 AWG gauge limits use to equipment drawing 10 A or less.

Insert the NEMA 5-15P plug fully into a 125 V AC wall outlet, then seat the IEC 60320 C13 connector firmly into the device inlet until it clicks; the step often missed is pushing the C13 end completely home so the latch engages.
Inspect the jacket and both connectors periodically for cracks, discoloration or loose pins; replace the cord if the insulation is damaged, the blades are bent, or the C13 latch no longer holds securely.
The 18 AWG conductors hit their 10 A, 125 V AC rating first; sustained operation at that current will cause the wire to reach its maximum safe temperature before any other limit appears.
