Purpose and Audience

This 20 ft HDMI cable connects any source with an HDMI output to a display or projector that accepts HDMI input. It is intended for installations where the device and screen are separated by up to twenty feet, such as home-theatre runs, conference-room wiring or classroom projector links.

Deciding Specification

The cable is rated for 18 Gbps bandwidth and carries full 1080p resolution with digital audio over a single 20 ft run. Gold-plated male connectors on both ends and double shielding protect signal integrity across the full length.

Build Integration

The male-to-male design plugs directly into standard HDMI ports without adapters, freeing up space behind equipment racks. Double shielding reduces interference in busy AV cabinets, and the 20 ft length reaches ceiling-mounted projectors or wall-mounted displays from a floor-standing source.

Questions about this item

Will the 18 Gbps bandwidth deliver full 1080p at 20 ft without signal loss?

Yes, the cable is rated for 18 Gbps and supports full 1080p resolution across the 20 ft length, with double shielding and gold-plated connectors to maintain signal integrity.

What HDMI standard does the 18 Gbps rating correspond to, and what resolutions does it actually allow?

The 18 Gbps bandwidth aligns with High Speed HDMI and caps practical output at 1080p resolution; higher formats such as 4K or HDR are not supported by this cable.

What physical clearance and connector style are needed to plug this 20 ft cable into my equipment?

Each end uses a standard HDMI male connector, so you need a female HDMI port on both devices and enough space behind them for the plug and cable bend radius.
