Ceiling-mounted WiFi 6 access point with 8 spatial streams covering 185 m² for 350+ concurrent devices
Model U6 Long-Range
The Ubiquiti Networks U6-LR-US is a WiFi 6 long-range access point designed for ceiling mounting in commercial spaces. It delivers 8 spatial streams across two radios and supports up to 350 plus concurrent clients. Power is supplied through PoE+ from a UniFi switch or the optional 48 V adapter. The unit operates in temperatures from minus 30 to 60 degrees C.
This access point suits offices, warehouses or retail floors that need a single device to cover 185 square metres with extended signal range. It is less suited for environments that require dense multi-floor penetration or installations without PoE infrastructure. Buyers who need more than one GbE uplink should look at a different model.
The only wired interface is one GbE RJ45 port, so the AP cannot aggregate multiple wired links or serve as a switch for other devices. If your design needs more than one Ethernet connection per access point, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Other versions of this model
Mount the 220 mm diameter unit to a ceiling using the included hardware, then connect the single GbE RJ45 port to a UniFi PoE switch or the 48 V 0.5 A PoE adapter; the step often missed is that the PoE adapter is not included in the box.
The access point has no user-serviceable parts and no consumable components; if the PoE injector or switch port fails, replace that power source, otherwise the unit runs maintenance-free within its -30 to 60 °C operating range.
The single GbE uplink caps total throughput at 1 Gbps, so sustained 5 GHz traffic at the 1.7 Gbps PHY rate will hit the Ethernet bottleneck before the radio or the 350+ client capacity becomes a constraint.
