Indoor/Outdoor WiFi 6 Access Point

The Ubiquiti U6 Mesh Pro is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point rated for indoor and outdoor use. It supports more than 250 concurrent users and up to 350 connected devices across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The unit delivers an aggregate throughput of 5.3 Gbps with four spatial streams. It is built for mesh deployments in homes, offices or covered outdoor areas.

PoE Powered with Gigabit Passthrough

Installation uses a single Ethernet cable that carries both data and 48 V PoE power from the included adapter. Two GbE RJ45 ports provide a PoE input and a gigabit passthrough for daisy-chaining another wired device. The IPX5-rated waterproof casing and pole or wall mounts suit exterior walls or sheltered poles. Common issues include insufficient PoE budget from non-standard injectors and mounting hardware not rated for the operating temperature range of -40 to 70 °C.

185 Metre Coverage Radius

The integrated omnidirectional super antenna provides a coverage radius of up to 185 metres in both indoor and outdoor environments. This single figure determines whether the unit can blanket the intended area without additional nodes. Buyers needing a longer range or a directional pattern for point-to-point links should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the U6 Mesh Pro is delivering 5.3 Gbps aggregate throughput after setup?

Use the UniFi Network application to view real-time throughput statistics and run a local speed test between a Wi-Fi 6 client and a wired device connected to the second GbE RJ45 port.

What is included in the box and what must I purchase separately for the U6 Mesh Pro?

The box contains the access point and mounting hardware for wall or pole installation; a 48 V DC, 0.5 A Gigabit PoE adapter is required and sold separately.

Which U6 Mesh Pro version should I choose for a 2000 ft² outdoor area with 350+ devices?

The single U6-MESH-PRO-US model covers up to 185 m² (2,000 ft²) with its integrated omnidirectional super antenna and supports 350+ connected devices, so no other version is needed.
