The Ubiquiti U6-Mesh is a WiFi 6 access point rated for both indoor and outdoor installation. It supports 802.11ax with six spatial streams and serves 300-plus concurrent clients. A single gigabit Ethernet port provides the wired uplink and the unit is powered entirely through PoE. It suits installers who need a compact mesh node that can mount on a wall, pole or tabletop.

Sustained throughput with six spatial streams

The 5 GHz radio uses a 4x4 MU-MIMO configuration while the 2.4 GHz radio uses 2x2, delivering up to 4.8 Gbps and 600 Mbps maximum PHY rates respectively. Both radios support downlink and uplink MU-MIMO so capacity scales when many devices transmit simultaneously. Advanced QoS with per-user rate limiting and eight BSSIDs per radio keep latency predictable under heavy load. Zero-wait DFS will be enabled by a future firmware update.

Passive cooling and PoE power draw

The cylindrical housing relies on convection cooling with no moving parts, so operation is silent in offices or covered outdoor areas. Transmit power reaches 22 dBm on 2.4 GHz and 26 dBm on 5 GHz within regulatory limits. Power is drawn from the PoE link, eliminating the need for a separate supply or nearby mains socket. The sealed enclosure meets the demands of sheltered exterior mounting.
