Compact 5MP 2K Wi-Fi Camera

The Ubiquiti G4 Instant is a compact surveillance camera that delivers 5MP 2K resolution over a wireless link. It is designed for outdoor mounting and includes integrated two-way audio for communication. The fixed 2.8 mm lens provides an ultra-wide horizontal field of view of 102.4 degrees.

Wireless UniFi Integration

The camera connects wirelessly using UniFi WiFi Auto-Link, eliminating the need for Ethernet cabling and freeing up switch ports. It requires only the included 5V 2A USB power adapter for operation. Versatile table or wall mounting options simplify placement around a property.

2K Resolution with Night Vision

The 5MP CMOS sensor captures 2688 x 1512 video at 30 frames per second with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Infrared night vision extends visibility up to 6 metres in darkness. The lack of a micro SD slot means footage depends entirely on a connected UniFi recording system.

Questions about this item

How long can the 5MP 2K sensor run continuously in 40 °C heat before the image degrades?

The camera is rated for -20 to 40 °C ambient temperature and draws 5 V at 2 A from the included USB adapter, so it operates within spec all day at the top of that range.

How audible is the fan or coil whine when the camera records 24/7?

The unit has no moving parts and no fan; it is passively cooled, so operation is silent apart from any audio picked up by the built-in microphone.

Does the box include a UniFi console or Cloud Key for the Auto-Link Wi-Fi feature to work?

The package contains the camera, a 5 V 2 A USB power adapter and a wall mount; a UniFi console or Cloud Key is not included and must be provided separately.
