USB-C Audio Adapter with 24-bit DAC

The Ugreen 80154 converts a USB-C port into a 3.5 mm analogue output using a built-in 24-bit/96 kHz DAC chip. It is intended for listeners who want wired headphones, car aux inputs or hi-fi systems on devices that lack a native headphone jack. The 10-inch braided cable and aluminium housing keep the adapter light at 9 grams.

Check USB-C Audio Support

Verify that your host device delivers analogue or digital audio over its USB-C port; some phones and tablets only support charging or data. The adapter works with standard 3.5 mm headphones, headsets and aux cables, and its in-line remote handles volume and call functions when the connected headset includes those controls. No driver installation is required on supported operating systems.

Passive Cooling and Low Power Draw

The aluminium shell acts as a heatsink for the DAC, so the adapter runs silently with no fan or active cooling. Power is drawn directly from the USB-C bus, adding negligible load to the host battery during music playback or calls. The braided cable resists tangling and strain, maintaining reliable signal integrity in daily use.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Ugreen 80154 and do I need any extra cables?

The package contains one USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter with a 10-inch braided cable; no additional cables are required to connect your 3.5mm headphones or auxiliary device.

The adapter supports 24-bit/96 kHz — how does that compare to the 16-bit/48 kHz spec mentioned for other dongles?

The higher 24-bit/96 kHz capability allows greater dynamic range and detail than the common 16-bit/48 kHz limit, provided your source files and playback software also support that resolution.

Will the in-line controls on my 3.5mm headset work for volume and calls through this adapter?

Yes, the adapter passes through standard 3.5mm headset controls so you can adjust volume and answer calls directly from the headset’s in-line remote.
