Core configuration

The Velztorm Orix desktop pairs a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K processor with a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card. Sixteen cores and twenty-four threads handle heavy multitasking and content creation workloads. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 memory at 4800MHz support the platform. A four-terabyte PCIe NVMe SSD provides the primary storage volume. Windows 10 Home 64-bit ships pre-installed.

Build and connectivity

The chassis uses a 360mm AIO liquid cooler with RGB lighting to manage CPU thermals. An 850-watt power supply feeds the components. Wireless connectivity covers 802.11 a/b/n/ac/ax standards alongside a 2.5Gbps RJ-45 port. Video output relies on one HDMI and one DisplayPort connector. Front and rear I/O include two USB 3.0 Type-A, two USB 3.1 Gen2, two USB 2.0, one USB 3.1 Type-C Gen2, one USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2, plus separate microphone and headphone jacks. No optical drive or card reader is fitted.

Upgrade perspective

This system replaces an older desktop that lacks DDR5 memory bandwidth and a modern 16-core architecture. The jump is worthwhile when workloads benefit from high single-thread frequencies up to 5.2GHz and fast NVMe storage throughput. Buyers who need more than sixteen gigabytes of memory or a higher-tier GPU for 4K gaming should look elsewhere. The platform suits enthusiasts who want a balanced, ready-to-run workstation and gaming machine without immediate component swaps.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the RTX 3060 Ti use, and what bandwidth limit does that impose?

The graphics card runs on PCIe 4.0, so its maximum theoretical bandwidth is capped at the 4.0 x16 limit of the platform.

What physical clearance is required for the 360 mm AIO liquid CPU cooler?

The 360 mm radiator needs a case location that accepts a 360 mm radiator, typically a top or front mount with three fan positions.

How is Windows 10 Home activated on this system, and what step is often missed during first boot?

Windows 10 Home 64-bit is pre-installed; the step users miss is completing the out-of-box experience and connecting to the internet so the digital licence activates automatically.
