Eight-core Ryzen desktop

The Velztorm Pilum is a pre-built gaming desktop that pairs a 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor with 128GB of DDR4 memory and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. Storage combines a 512GB SATA SSD for the operating system and a 6TB hard drive for large libraries. Windows 10 Pro is installed and the system ships in a black chassis with RGB liquid cooling.

Sustained thermal behaviour

A 120mm all-in-one liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 750W power supply feeds the GPU during long sessions. The RTX 3070 runs on PCIe 4.0 with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and supports DirectX 12, VR and G-SYNC without throttling under continuous load. Wi‑Fi uses the 802.11n standard and wired Ethernet is also present.

128GB DDR4 memory ceiling

The platform maxes out at 128GB of DDR4 DIMM capacity, so the configuration cannot be expanded beyond the installed amount. Buyers who need more memory headroom or a newer CPU generation should look at a different system. All other specifications are fixed at the listed values.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 750W supply and 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler run during all-day sessions?

The 750W power supply feeds the Ryzen 7 3700X and RTX 3070, while the 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler keeps the 8-core processor at safe temperatures under sustained load.

Which display cable and monitor port do I need to use the RTX 3070 graphics output?

The RTX 3070 provides one HDMI and one DisplayPort connection, so a monitor with either input and the matching cable is required.

Will my older USB 2.0 peripherals work with the front and rear ports on this desktop?

Yes, the system includes four USB 2.0 ports alongside five USB 3.0 Type-A, one USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A and one USB 3.1 Type-C Gen1 for backward compatibility.
