Processor and graphics core

The Velztorm Pilum desktop combines a 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight‑core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. It targets gamers and content creators who want strong multi‑threaded performance and modern GPU features in a ready‑to‑run Windows 10 Pro system.

Upgrade path from lower‑spec machines

This configuration replaces a PC limited to 16GB or 32GB of memory and a single smaller drive. The jump is worth it when workloads demand 128GB DDR4 for heavy multitasking, large project files, or virtual machines, and when the 1TB SATA SSD plus 1TB HDD provide both speed and bulk capacity.

Build integration and headroom

The 750W power supply drives the CPU, GPU, RGB‑lit 120mm AIO liquid cooler and all onboard peripherals. Connectivity includes 802.11n Wi‑Fi, Ethernet LAN, USB 3.1 Gen1, five USB 3.0 Type‑A ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI, one DisplayPort, one USB 3.1 Type‑C Gen1, plus microphone and headphone jacks.

Questions about this item

What motherboard form factor and case clearance does the 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler require?

The 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler fits a standard 120mm fan mount in the Pilum desktop case and connects to the motherboard CPU fan header.

How is the 128GB DDR4 memory installed, and which slot population order avoids a no-post condition?

Populate the four DDR4 DIMM slots in the order the motherboard manual specifies — typically slots 2 and 4 first, then 1 and 3 — so the 128GB kit trains at rated speed.

When will the 750W power supply or the 1TB SATA SSD need replacement under heavy gaming loads?

A quality 750W unit typically lasts five to seven years; the 1TB SATA SSD wears after several hundred terabytes written, so monitor SMART health annually.
