Ready-to-game desktop

The Velztorm Pilum arrives assembled with a 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor, 64GB DDR4 memory, a 2TB SATA SSD paired with a 6TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed so the system boots straight to the desktop.

Build integration

A 750W power supply drives the CPU, GPU, storage and an RGB 120mm AIO liquid cooler without extra cables. Front and rear I/O include USB 3.1 Gen1, five USB 3.0 Type-A, four USB 2.0, one USB 3.1 Type-C Gen1, HDMI, DisplayPort, microphone and headphone jacks plus 802.11n Wi-Fi and gigabit Ethernet.

Sustained load behaviour

The liquid CPU cooler keeps the 3700X near its 4.4 GHz boost during long sessions while the GTX 1660 Super maintains steady frame rates in VR-ready titles at 1080p. The SATA SSD handles OS and active projects and the large hard drive stores the rest without throttling.

Questions about this item

What limits the Ryzen 7 3700X during long gaming sessions?

The 750W power supply and 120mm AIO liquid cooler keep the 8-core CPU within its 4.4 GHz boost ceiling, so the first limit is the thermal headroom of that single-fan radiator.

How loud and hot does the system get when running all day?

The 120mm AIO liquid cooler and 750W PSU fan are the only active cooling; under sustained load the CPU stays near its 4.4 GHz boost while the GTX 1660 Super 6GB GDDR6 card exhausts heat out the rear.

Which display cable must I already own to use the GTX 1660 Super?

The graphics card provides one HDMI and one DisplayPort output, so you need either an HDMI cable or a DisplayPort cable matching your monitor's input.
