System Configuration

The Velztorm Pilum is a custom-built gaming desktop configured with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor, 64GB of DDR4 memory, a 2TB SATA SSD paired with a 2TB hard drive, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and a 750W power supply.

Target Audience

This system suits players who want a ready-to-game computer with a high core count and large combined storage out of the box. Builders who prefer to select their own components, need a newer CPU architecture, or require a different operating system should look at a different configuration.

Deciding Specification

The graphics card is an RTX 3070 with 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a PCIe 4.0 interface, supporting DirectX 12, VR readiness and G-SYNC. If the buyer’s workload demands a different GPU tier or video memory amount, this desktop will not match that requirement.

Questions about this item

How is the 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler installed, and what step is often missed?

Mount the radiator to the case with fans pulling air through it, then attach the pump block to the Ryzen 7 3700X using the AM4 bracket; the step often missed is removing the protective plastic film from the cold-plate before applying thermal paste.

What maintenance or replacement will the 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler need later?

The sealed loop requires no refill; after several years the pump may wear or the coolant may degrade, at which point the entire AIO unit is replaced rather than serviced.

What limit appears first on the RTX 3070 during sustained gaming loads?

The GPU hits its power and thermal ceiling, causing clock speeds to settle below the peak 4.4 GHz boost while the 750W supply and AIO cooler manage CPU heat separately.
