System overview

The Velztorm Pilum is a pre-built desktop aimed at players and creators who want a ready-to-run Windows 10 Pro machine with a strong multi-core processor and a capable GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. It ships with 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for fast boot and load times.

Upgrade path

This configuration replaces an older system that struggles with modern titles at high settings or with memory-intensive workloads such as video editing and 3D rendering. The jump is worth it when your current rig cannot feed the GPU enough data or hits the 16GB or 32GB RAM ceiling during multitasking.

Sustained load behaviour

A 120mm AIO liquid cooler keeps the 8-core Ryzen 7 3700X stable during long sessions while the 750W power supply delivers consistent power to the RTX 3070 and all peripherals. Thermals remain controlled so clock speeds hold steady rather than throttling after a short burst.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler require?

The 120mm AIO liquid CPU cooler fits standard desktop cases with a 120mm fan mount; verify your chassis has that opening before ordering.

How do I connect the RTX 3070 to the 750W power supply, and what step is often missed?

Use the PSU's native PCIe cables — do not use adapters — and seat both power connectors firmly until they click; the most common error is leaving one connector loose.

When should I plan to replace the 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD?

The 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD has no moving parts; replace it only if SMART health drops below threshold or you need more capacity.
