Capacity and use

The Vertiv Liebert PST5-660MT120 is a 660 VA / 400 W offline UPS designed to keep desktop computers, gaming consoles, workstations, routers and similar electronics running during brief outages. It provides battery-backed power for a short window so users can save work and shut down safely. Buyers who need extended runtime for servers or high-power workstations will find the capacity insufficient.

Input limits and protection

The unit accepts 90 V AC to 145 V AC at 60 Hz and connects via a NEMA 5-15P plug with a 6.5 ft cord. It supplies 120 V AC output through eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles, four of which provide both battery backup and surge protection while the other four are surge-only. Surge energy rating is 316 Joules and RJ45/11 plus coax data-line protection is included.

Mounting and daily implications

The UPS measures 3.82" x 12.00" x 6.24" and weighs 9.40 lbs, allowing wall, desktop or floor placement. Two outlets are spaced for transformer-block plugs and a USB charging port is provided. A USB Type-A to Type-B cable enables communication with the free shutdown software. Valve-regulated lead-acid batteries deliver 2 minutes at full load and 7 minutes at half load.
