VideoSecu Dome Camera 600 TVL

The VideoSecu DM52SEMKC is a wired dome CCTV camera with a 1/3 inch Sony Effio CCD sensor delivering 600 TV lines of resolution. It uses a 3.6 mm wide-angle lens and connects via BNC video with a 2.1 mm power plug. A 12 V DC power supply and audio-video-power cable are included.

Suits analog DVR systems needing wall

This camera works with analog CCTV DVRs that accept BNC input and is not compatible with HD or IP-based recorders. It requires a separate DVR for recording, which is not included. Buyers who want wireless operation, HD resolution, or a standalone recording solution should look at something else.

Simple wired install with included cable and supply

Mount the dome on a wall or ceiling using the 3-axis design, run the combined audio-video-power cable to the DVR, and connect the supplied 12 V 500 mA adapter. Common issues are forgetting that a DVR is required for any recording and attempting to connect the BNC output to an HD or network recorder.

Questions about this item

What DVR connection does the camera's BNC video output require?

The camera outputs analog NTSC video over a BNC connector and must be paired with a CCTV DVR that accepts BNC input; it will not work with HD or IP recorders.

Will the included 12 V DC 500 mA power supply run the camera on my existing 12 V distribution block?

Yes, the camera draws 12 V DC through a 2.1 mm centre-positive plug and the supplied 500 mA adapter matches that requirement.

How can I confirm the 600 TVL resolution is active after installation?

View the live feed on the DVR monitor; a sharp, colour image at 600 TV lines with the 3.6 mm wide-angle view and 0.002 Lux low-light performance indicates correct operation.
