Analog security camera for wired CCTV systems

The VideoSecu VD3HBEMKC is a wired dome camera that connects by BNC cable to an analog DVR. It captures colour footage by day and switches automatically to black-and-white when its 28 IR LEDs illuminate the scene at night. The 3.6 mm wide-angle lens covers a broad field of view for general surveillance. Buyers who need IP networking or HD-SDI resolution cannot use this model.

Weatherproof aluminium housing

A vandal-resistant aluminium dome protects the 1/3" Sony Effio CCD and DSP from tampering and outdoor exposure. The housing is rated weatherproof for permanent exterior installation and accepts either ceiling or wall brackets. Power is supplied through the included 12 V DC adapter, so a nearby mains outlet or protected power run is required. Installers who lack conduit or outdoor-rated cabling will need additional materials.

Power supply, AV cable and microphone included

The box contains the camera, a 12 V DC power supply, a combined audio-video-power cable and a separate microphone for audio capture. A warning sticker is also supplied for visible deterrence. No DVR, monitor or recording media are provided, so the camera alone cannot record or display footage without a compatible analog recorder.

Questions about this item

What resolution does the BNC video output actually deliver?

The camera outputs up to 700 TV lines over its wired BNC connection, which is the standard analog CCTV limit for this interface.

What mounting surfaces and hardware does the dome housing support?

The weatherproof aluminum dome can be mounted on a ceiling or wall using the included bracket and fixings.

How do I connect the supplied microphone so audio records alongside the video?

Run the provided audio-video-power cable from the camera to your DVR, plug the BNC into the video input and the RCA audio lead into the DVR audio input, then power the camera with the 12 V supply.
