White dome camera for analogue CCTV

The VideoSecu DMV3IRE-A1 is a wired dome camera built around a 1/3" Sony Effio CCD that delivers 700 TVL resolution. A 3.5-8 mm varifocal lens lets the installer adjust the field of view on site. Seventeen infrared LEDs provide night vision in a white weatherproof housing rated for outdoor or indoor mounting.

Installers expanding or repairing analogue DVR

This camera suits projects that record to a BNC-input DVR using standard coaxial cable and 12 V DC power. It does not suit buyers who want IP networking, HD-SDI or HD-CVI signals, or wireless operation. It also does not suit anyone needing a recorder, cables or power supply because none are included.

BNC video output for analogue DVR connection

The single specification that decides compatibility is the wired BNC video output, which carries an analogue 700 TVL signal to a matching DVR. The camera requires a separate 12 V DC supply and a DVR with BNC inputs; it cannot connect to IP, HD-SDI or HD-CVI recorders.

Questions about this item

What does 700 TVL actually look like on a monitor?

700 TVL gives a sharp analog picture with clear detail for faces and licence plates when the camera is focused correctly.

What does the BNC connection limit in a real install?

The BNC video output carries standard-definition analog signals only, so the camera must connect to a compatible DVR and cannot plug into HD or IP recorders.

How much space does the varifocal lens and bracket need to mount?

The integrated heavy-duty bracket conceals wiring inside and requires a flat surface with enough clearance for the dome housing and 3.5~8 mm lens adjustment.
