VOVOV 2-Pack Molex to Dual SATA Y-Cable

This VOVOV 2-pack supplies two Molex 4-pin male to dual SATA 15-pin female Y-cable adapters. Each cable powers two SATA hard drives, SSDs or optical drives from a single legacy LP4 power supply connector. The 8.67 inch length suits internal desktop cable routing. Flexible 18 AWG conductors deliver reliable power for DIY upgrades or IT repairs.

Ideal for adding SATA drives to older PSUs

Builders upgrading a system with only Molex LP4 ports can connect modern SATA storage without replacing the power supply. The dual-connector design provides a spare port for future drive additions. This adapter does not suit builders who need to power SATA devices from an existing SATA power cable or who require right-angle connectors for tight clearances.

18 AWG conductors on 8.67 inch cables

Heavy-duty 18 AWG wiring ensures stable current delivery to two drives from one Molex source. The fixed 8.67 inch cable length determines reach inside the chassis. Verify that this length matches your drive bay distances before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the 18 AWG conductors on these Y-cables need replacement over time?

The 18 AWG conductors are built for reliable performance and do not have a scheduled replacement interval under normal use.

What is the first limit reached when powering two SATA drives continuously from one Molex LP4 port?

The single Molex LP4 connection supplies both drives, so the port's current rating becomes the limiting factor under sustained load.

How much heat or noise do the cables produce when running all day?

Passive cables generate no noise and negligible heat; any warmth comes from the power supply and drives themselves.
