This 50cm cable connects a backplane or enclosure with a Slimline SFF-8654 8i 74pin port to a controller equipped with two SFF-8643 Mini SAS HD connectors. It is built for internal wiring in servers, data-storage arrays and workstations that use SAS 4.0 or PCIe Gen3/4 links. The Slimline connector saves space inside dense chassis.

Four-lane 24Gbps SAS and 8GT/s PCIe per channel

Each of the four lanes carries 24Gbps for SAS traffic and 8GT/s for PCIe traffic, matching the SAS 4.0 and Ultraport SlimSAS SFF-8654 specifications. The 50cm length suits typical server backplane-to-controller runs but will not reach across full-height rack enclosures or between separate cabinets.
