Connects one 5V 3-pin motherboard header to four RGB devices and includes a male-to-male gender changer adapter
This 5V 3-pin AURA RGB splitter expands a single motherboard header into four female ports for addressable lighting. The two-pack includes a 3-pin male-to-male gender changer adapter for flexible routing. It is designed only for 5V 3-pin AURA RGB devices and will not function with 12V 4-pin RGB systems. Builders using 12V RGB ecosystems cannot use this cable.
The motherboard RGB header typically supplies at least 5V/3A, giving 15W total for all connected devices. The cable itself adds no extra power capacity, so total draw is limited by the header. The supplier suggests keeping total LED strip length under 3.3 ft to avoid voltage drop. If connected lighting dims, the header is overloaded and devices must be reduced.
This splitter works exclusively with the 5V 3-pin AURA RGB standard and is physically incompatible with 12V 4-pin headers. The arrow mark on each plug must align with the 5V pin on both the motherboard and the device. Exceeding the header’s 15W budget causes dimming or instability, and the cable cannot compensate for insufficient motherboard power delivery.

The splitter itself adds no extra power capacity; it simply passes the motherboard's 5V 3A 15W limit to connected devices.
A 5V 3-pin RGB header (often labelled AURA RGB) is required; the cable will not work with 12V 4-pin RGB systems.
Yes, it extends one 5V 3-pin header to four female ports, but keep total cable runs under 3.3 ft and reduce devices if lighting dims.
