Target Servers

This adapter bracket fits 2.5-inch SAS hard drives or SSDs into Cisco UCS C220, C240, C480, ML M5 and C4200 servers. The pack contains two brackets and eight mounting screws so both drive bays can be populated at once. It is built from ABS plastic that resists deformation during repeated swaps.

SAS Interface Limits

The bracket provides a mechanical carrier only; it does not convert the SAS signal or provide any active circuitry. Drive detection, RAID handling and hot-plug behaviour depend entirely on the server backplane and controller. No additional cabling or adapters are included for other interface types.

Two-Drive Capacity

Each pack equips two bays, matching the maximum supported device count listed for these platforms. The ABS construction protects the drives during insertion and removal but adds no thermal management. Builds requiring more than two 2.5-inch drives will need additional brackets or a different chassis.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the single caddy or the 2 pack for my Cisco UCS server?

The listing is a 2 pack containing two 2.5" hard drive caddies and eight mounting screws, so you receive both brackets in one purchase.

What does the SAS interface mean for drive compatibility once the bracket is installed?

The bracket provides the mechanical fit for 2.5" SAS drives in Cisco UCS C220, C240, C480 ML M5 and C4200 servers; the SAS signal and power connections are handled by the server backplane.

Does the SAS bracket support hot-swap in Cisco UCS servers?

The ABS plastic caddy uses screw-in installation and matches the form factor required by the listed Cisco UCS models, allowing the drive assembly to engage the backplane for hot-swap operation.
