Input and Output Signals

This converter takes an HDMI source and transforms it into composite video, S-Video and stereo analogue audio through male RCA and S-Video plugs. A selector switch on the unit lets you choose between NTSC and PAL output standards. The micro cable included in the box must be connected to provide operating power.

Compatibility Notes

The adapter handles HDMI 1.3 signals with HDCP and accepts resolutions of 480p at 60Hz, 576p at 50Hz, 720p at 50Hz or 60Hz, 1080i at 50Hz or 60Hz and 1080p at 50Hz or 60Hz. Output video is limited to composite or S-Video; both cannot be active at the same time. The device does not work with Xbox 360 and it cannot convert in the opposite direction from analogue to HDMI.

Resolution Pass-Through Behaviour

The converter does not scale the incoming picture; a 480p HDMI input produces a 480p composite or S-Video output, and the same principle applies to every supported resolution. You must verify that your display can accept the exact resolution your source device sends.
