Converts an M.2 M-key slot into a PCIe 4x slot with 4-pin power and 2260/2280 mounting, driver-free up to 4.0 GB/s
This riser card converts an M.2 M-key slot into a standard PCIe 4x or 1x slot, letting you install full-size expansion cards in desktops or laptops. It connects directly to the M.2 connector and includes a 4-pin floppy power cable for stable operation. No drivers are required and it works transparently with Windows, Linux and WinCE.
Suitable for integrators who need to fit a PCIe 4x or 1x card into an M.2 M-key socket and can supply auxiliary power through the 4-pin connector. Not suited for users whose platform provides only an M.2 B-key or B+M slot, or for those who cannot access a spare 4-pin power header.
The board presents one PCIe 4x female socket and one NGFF M.2 M-key male connector, supporting data rates up to 4.0 GB/s. Mounting holes for 2260 and 2280 form factors secure the adapter in place. The included floppy power cable delivers additional current when the slot supply is insufficient.

The adapter is transparent to the operating system and requires no drivers; use any OS-level disk benchmark or PCIe link-speed tool to confirm the slot is running at the expected 4.0 GB/s throughput.
The package includes the M.2 M-Key to PCIe 4x riser board and a 4-pin floppy power cable; you must supply the PCIe x4 or x1 card you want to install and the motherboard M.2 M-key slot.
The riser provides mounting holes for both 2260 and 2280 form factors, so select the spacing that matches the length of the M.2 card you are installing.
