Adds an M.2 NVME SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 sizes to a PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot with included bracket
This PCIe adapter converts an M-key M.2 NVME or AHCI solid-state drive to a standard x4, x8 or x16 expansion slot. It accepts drive lengths of 30, 42, 60 and 80 millimetres, covering the 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. A full-profile bracket is included for secure mounting in a desktop chassis. The card requires no driver installation under Windows or Linux.
The adapter uses a PCIe 3.0 x4 electrical interface and remains backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 and 1.0 motherboards. Bandwidth scales to the slot width and generation present in the system, so throughput is limited by the host platform rather than the card itself. No active cooling or external power is required, leaving thermal performance dependent on case airflow and the drive's own controller.
This card adds NVME capability to motherboards that lack an M-key M.2 connector or have all such slots occupied. It does not support B-key PCIe x2 or B-key SATA M.2 drives, so buyers with those SSD types need a different adapter. The upgrade is worthwhile when a spare PCIe x4 or wider slot is available and the installed SSD is M-key NVME or AHCI.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The adapter has no active cooling and no moving parts, so it adds no fan noise; heat comes only from the NVMe SSD itself, which the board passes through to the motherboard airflow.
An empty PCIe 3.0, 2.0 or 1.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot and a free full-profile bracket opening; no extra power cables or drivers are required.
No — the adapter only accepts M-key NVMe or AHCI drives (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280); B-key SATA or PCIe x2 SSDs are not supported.
