High-Speed 12Gbps Breakout Cable

The Vszerda Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 to 4 x SATA 7P Female Cable converts a single SFF-8643 port into four SATA connections. It supports up to 12Gbps per channel for reliable data transmission across attached drives. The 19.68 inch length suits internal server chassis.

Server Builders Needing Dense Drive Connectivity

This cable suits administrators connecting multiple SATA drives to one controller port in space-constrained enclosures. The 30AWG construction and flat-head connectors improve airflow and routing. Builders needing longer runs beyond the available lengths should look at other options.

12Gbps Per-Channel Throughput

The decisive specification is the 12Gbps per-channel bandwidth that matches 12G SAS controller performance. Verify that your controller and drives operate at this signalling rate to utilise the full capability.

Questions about this item

Will the SFF-8643 end plug into my existing 12Gbps SAS backplane without signal loss?

Yes, the cable is rated for up to 12Gbps per channel and uses a standard SFF-8643 interface compatible with 12Gbps SAS controllers and backplanes.

How can I confirm each of the four SATA drives is running at full 12Gbps speed after installation?

Check the controller BIOS or OS disk utility; each drive should negotiate a 12Gbps link speed on its SATA 7P port.

Does the 19.68 inch length include the flat-head connectors, and do I need any extra adapters for standard SATA power?

The 19.68 inch measurement covers the full assembly including connectors; only SATA data is provided so separate SATA power cables are required.
