Power-splitter cable for SATA drives

This Vszerda cable converts a single Molex 4-pin connector into four SATA 15-pin power plugs. It supplies power to hard drives, solid-state drives, optical drives or case fans that require a SATA power input. The 58 cm length gives enough reach for typical chassis routing.

Builders adding multiple SATA devices

The 1-to-4 splitter suits systems that have spare Molex leads but need more SATA power ports. It is not suited for builds that lack a Molex source or that require data connectivity, because the cable carries only power.

One Molex plug feeds four SATA ports

The adapter presents one male Molex 4-pin connector and four female SATA 15-pin connectors in a black oxygen-conductor assembly. Model reference Molex4SATA4-16.5 confirms the 1-to-4 split configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the 15-pin SATA connectors on this splitter need periodic replacement?

The 15-pin SATA power connectors are rated for standard mating cycles; reseat them if drives become intermittent.

What stops me from running four SSDs on the single Molex 4-pin source?

The Molex 4-pin feed limits total current to the connector's rating, so combined draw of all four drives must stay within that limit.

How warm does the 58 cm cable get when all four drives spin continuously?

Oxygen-conductor wire runs at normal temperatures for typical hard-drive or SSD loads; ensure case airflow covers the cable run.
