  • ASMedia 1061 chip supports 6 Gbps transfer
  • Works with x1, x4, x8 and x16 slots
  • Low-profile bracket fits compact cases

Two-port SATA 3.0 expansion

This adapter adds two SATA 6 Gbps ports to a desktop through any PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot. The ASMedia 1061 controller handles the link without driver installation on modern operating systems. It suits builders who need extra internal drive connections on a board that has run out of native ports.

Not for external drive enclosures

The bracket carries only internal SATA connectors, so users who want eSATA or hot-swap bays must choose a different card. It also lacks RAID functions, so anyone requiring hardware RAID 0, 1 or 10 should look at a dedicated RAID controller instead.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the ASMedia 1061 adapter is running at SATA 3.0 6Gbps after installing it in a PCIe slot?

Check the negotiated link speed in your operating system's device manager or storage utility; it should show 6Gbps for each connected drive when the card is seated in any PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot.

Which cables or brackets are included with the Vszerda two-port SATA board and what must I source separately?

The adapter board itself is supplied; you will need to provide two standard SATA data cables and, if your case requires it, a low-profile bracket for the expansion slot.
