PCIe x1 to Dual USB 3.2 Type-C Adapter

This Vszerda expansion card adds two USB Type-C ports to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It uses the ASM1042 controller to deliver USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity at up to 5 Gbps per port. The adapter is supplied new and targets users who need additional high-speed Type-C connections for peripherals or storage devices.

Suitable for desktop builders with a free x1 slot

The card fits standard desktop chassis and provides two Type-C ports without occupying a 5.25-inch bay. It is not intended for laptops, small-form-factor systems lacking a full-height PCIe slot, or users who need more than two Type-C ports. Buyers requiring internal headers, power-delivery negotiation beyond the USB 3.2 Gen 1 specification, or a low-profile bracket should look at alternative products.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the ASM1042 chip is providing 5Gbps speed on each USB 3.2 Type-C port after installation?

Open Device Manager, locate the ASM1042 host controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and verify the link speed shows 5Gbps for each attached device.

Does the box include a PCIe x1 bracket or must I supply my own mounting hardware?

The card ships with a standard low-profile bracket installed and a full-height bracket in the package, so no extra mounting hardware is required.
