Turns a single SATA power connector into two 15-pin sockets for adding an SSD, hard drive or optical drive, using 18 AWG wire at 7 inches
The Vszerda SATA Power Y Splitter Cable turns a single 15-pin SATA power connector into two female ports. It is designed for builders and upgraders who need to add a 2.5 inch SSD, 3.5 inch hard drive, DVD drive or PCIe Express card when the power supply has no spare SATA plugs.
The splitter uses 18 AWG wire and carries 3.3V, 5V and 12V from the PSU across a 20 cm length. Verify that your power supply has enough spare capacity on its SATA rail before connecting additional drives.
The 7 inch cable reaches nearby drive bays without excess slack, helping keep tower cable management tidy. It requires one free SATA power header on the PSU and provides two standard 15-pin female connectors for the target devices.

At 7 inches or 20 cm the splitter reaches from a power supply SATA connector to two drives mounted in adjacent bays without excess slack.
The 15 pin SATA connector carries 3.3 V, 5 V and 12 V from the PSU, so the splitter passes those same rails to both female ports.
The 18 AWG conductors are flexible enough to route behind drive cages and through standard cable-management grommets in a tower chassis.
