Captures composite and S-Video at 720x480 NTSC or 720x576 PAL via USB 2.0, includes editing software, no external power needed
The Vszerda adapter digitises composite and S-Video sources at 720 x 480 for NTSC or 720 x 576 for PAL. It targets owners of VHS, V8 or similar tapes who want to archive footage directly to a Windows PC without opening the case. The device draws power from the USB bus and includes a video editor for basic post-production work.
Windows XP, 2000, Vista, 7 and 8 are supported; the installer places the capture driver and the bundled editing software. A Pentium 4 at 1.7 GHz, 256 MB RAM and a graphics card with 32 MB video memory are the stated minimums. No external power supply is needed, but a free USB 2.0 port must be available. Missing admin rights or an occupied port are the common failure points.
The 2.0 link limits capture to 30 fps at 720 x 480 for NTSC and 25 fps at 720 x 576 for PAL. Higher definitions or progressive scan formats are not possible over this interface. Audio arrives as stereo RCA without requiring a separate sound card. macOS and Linux are not supported, so buyers on those platforms must choose a different device.

Open the included Video Studio software, start a capture preview, and confirm the on-screen display shows 720x480 at 30 fps for NTSC or 720x576 at 25 fps for PAL.
The box contains the capture adapter with attached USB 2.0 cable and a software disc; you must supply your own RCA composite, S-Video, and stereo RCA audio cables to connect the source device.
This single model is the only version offered; it draws power from the USB 2.0 port and meets the minimum requirements of a 1.7 GHz P4 CPU, 256 MB RAM, and 32 MB VGA memory.
