Adds two USB 3.0 ports via PCI Express with a SATA power connector
This Vszerda expansion card adds two USB 3.0 ports to a desktop computer through a PCI Express slot. A SATA power connector on the board supplies the extra current that bus-powered devices often require. The adapter supports the 5 Gbps signalling rate defined by the USB 3.0 specification.
Users whose motherboards already provide enough USB 3.0 headers or rear ports will not need this card. Builders working in small-form-factor cases without a full-height slot should look at a different form factor. Systems that lack a spare SATA power lead from the power supply cannot power the card.

The SATA power connector is a passive interface and does not require scheduled replacement.
The PCI Express lane bandwidth and the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 controller set the maximum sustained throughput.
