weastlinks PCIe x4 3.0 to M.2 NVMe 2280 Riser Card 90° 15cm

SKU CH-K2FJ-JXQ7G

A 15 cm PCIe 3.0 x4 riser bends 90° to mount an M.2 2280 NVMe drive at up to 32 Gb/s

  • 15 cm cable reaches tight chassis spaces
  • PCIe 3.0 x4 delivers up to 32 Gbps throughput
  • 90° M-key slot clears tall expansion cards
  • Supports NVMe SSDs in 2280 form factor
  • German-import wire with Lotes connector ensures stable signalling

PCIe x4 3.0 to M.2 NVMe Riser Card

This adapter connects a full-size PCIe x4 3.0 slot to an M.2 2280 M-key NVMe drive. The 15 cm flexible cable allows the drive to be positioned away from the motherboard slot. It is intended for desktop builders who need to add ultra-fast NVMe storage when onboard M.2 sockets are occupied or absent.

Desktop systems with a free PCIe x4 slot

The card suits builds that can spare a PCIe x4 lane and have physical room for the 90-degree riser and cable. It is not for notebooks or external enclosures because the supplier notes no notebook support. Laptop users and anyone lacking a PCIe x4 slot should look at other upgrade paths.

PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth ceiling

Maximum throughput is 32 Gbps, which is the full speed of a PCIe 3.0 x4 link. An NVMe drive installed here will run at Gen 3 speeds even if the drive itself supports Gen 4 or Gen 5. Verify that your platform and drive combination can operate at this ceiling before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the M.2 NVMe drive or must it be purchased separately?

The adapter only converts a PCIe x4 3.0 slot to an M.2 M-key 2280 connector; the NVMe drive itself is not included and must be bought separately.

Which of the R42 models matches a 90-degree angled M.2 slot?

The R42SL variant provides a 90-degree turn; R42SF is 180-degree vertical and R42SR is 270-degree reverse.

What does the 32 Gbps headline speed mean once the card is installed?

It is the theoretical maximum of a PCIe 3.0 x4 link; real-world throughput depends on the host platform, the NVMe drive used, and system workload.
