Converts composite video and stereo audio to HD/3G-SDI with dual outputs at up to 1080p60 for broadcast and CCTV use
This Wiistar unit converts a single composite AV source with stereo audio into two simultaneous HD-SDI or 3G-SDI outputs. It is built for broadcast rooms, non-linear editing suites, CCTV security systems and training showrooms that need to bring legacy analogue signals into an SDI workflow. The converter does not accept or pass through SD-SDI signals.
The device maintains a stable SDI output at resolutions from 720p up to 1080p at frame rates of 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 frames per second. HD-SDI signals can travel up to 200 metres while 3G-SDI signals reach 100 metres without repeaters, making it practical for fixed installations where the camera or display sits far from the source.
Two BNC connectors provide redundant or parallel feeds to monitors, recorders or switchers from a single composite input. The metal enclosure shields the conversion circuitry from electromagnetic interference in rack or wall-mount environments. No SD-SDI compatibility means the unit is unsuitable for facilities that still rely on standard-definition SDI infrastructure.

The unit has no fan and draws little power, so it runs silently and stays cool during all-day use in SDI broadcast rooms or CCTV systems.
You need a standard composite video cable with RCA plugs for the AV input and two SDI cables with BNC connectors for the dual HD/3G-SDI outputs.
Yes, the converter also outputs 1920*1080I50 and 1280*720P50, so it can match the monitor's supported HD-SDI formats.
