7 in roller cover for semi-smooth surfaces

The Wooster R239-7 is a 7 in paint roller cover built with knit fabric on a polypropylene core. It fits any standard 1 1/2 in diameter cage frame and is designed for flat, satin and stain finishes. The 3/8 in nap suits semi-smooth substrates such as drywall, wood, brick, concrete and masonry.

Consistent release on extended jobs

The knit fabric construction holds a steady paint load across long walls and ceilings without frequent reloading. Polypropylene core resists solvent breakdown so the cover keeps its shape through waterproofing coats and multiple colour changes. Low-sheen formulation reduces roller marks on broad semi-smooth areas.

Replaces worn covers on 7 in frames

This cover upgrades from shorter-nap sleeves that leave texture on brick or concrete and from frayed fabric that sheds lint into satin finishes. The jump is worth it when a project spans several rooms or exterior surfaces and the existing cover no longer distributes paint evenly.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 3/8 in nap roller cover generate during all-day use?

The knit fabric cover produces no measurable heat; it is a passive applicator that relies on manual rolling rather than powered operation.

Which cage frame diameter must I already own for this 7 in cover to fit?

The cover requires any standard cage frame with a 1 1/2 in core diameter to operate correctly.

Will the knit fabric cover work with the older 7 in cage frames I already have?

Yes, the 1 1/2 in polypropylene core matches the common cage-frame standard, so existing 7 in frames accept it directly.
