Frame Length and Application

The Wooster Brush Company RR014 frame extends to 26-1/2 inches overall, giving painters a long reach for ceilings and tall walls. It accepts standard jumbo-koter rollers of 4-1/2 or 6-1/2 inches for all paint types. The transparent green polypropylene grip with reinforced threads fits any threaded extension pole.

Installation and Common Issues

The chrome-plated cage slides onto the roller core and locks with the end-cap mechanism in seconds. A loose thread on an old pole can strip the reinforced plastic threads, so inspect the pole before attaching. The 1/4-inch shank wire resists bending but can bind if the cage is clogged with dried paint.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The chrome plating protects the shank and cage from corrosion during long jobs with water-based or solvent-based coatings. The plastic grip stays comfortable through repeated loading because the reinforced threads distribute torque evenly. Cage stiffness keeps the roller true on wide surfaces without flexing.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Wooster Brush RR014 frame is assembled correctly and ready for use?

Check that the chrome-plated shank slides fully into the cage frame and that the green polypropylene grip with reinforced threads locks securely onto a standard threaded extension pole.

What comes with the RR014 Jumbo-Koter Frame and what must I purchase separately?

The frame includes the 25 1/2 in chrome-plated cage frame with 1/4 in shank wire and the green plastic handle with reinforced threads; roller covers and an extension pole are sold separately.

Which Wooster Brush frame version should I choose for 4 1/2 in or 6 1/2 in roller covers?

This single RR014 model accepts both 4 1/2 in and 6 1/2 in Jumbo-Koter covers, so no other version is needed for either size.
