Mini Roller Cover for Smooth Surfaces

This two-pack supplies 4-1/2 inch woven mohair roller covers with a 1/4 inch nap. They are designed for applying enamels, epoxies, urethanes and varnishes on smooth brick, concrete, drywall, masonry and wood. The polypropylene core fits standard cage frames.

Mohair Blend Reduces Lint on Fine Finishes

The mohair and polyester fabric releases paint evenly while minimising lint on glossy coatings. Each cover slides onto a 3/4 inch diameter core compatible with frames such as the 8619, RR013, RR014, RR323 and BR403-4 1/2. Two covers allow quick changes during a project.

Check Frame Size and Coating Type Before Buying

Verify that your roller frame accepts a 4-1/2 inch cover with a 3/4 inch core diameter. These covers suit smooth surfaces and the listed paint types only; they are not intended for rough textures or water-based latex emulsions. Confirm the frame model matches the compatible list.

Questions about this item

How often should the mohair cover be replaced when applying enamels or epoxies?

The mohair fabric and polyester cover is made for smooth surfaces such as drywall and wood; replace it when the nap wears down or shedding increases.

What limits continuous rolling on brick or concrete with the 1/4" nap?

The short 1/4" nap holds less coating on rough masonry, so reload frequency becomes the practical limit during sustained use.

Does the polypropylene core soften or the cover shed lint during all-day varnish work?

The polypropylene core resists solvent softening and the woven mohair is designed to minimise linting during extended sessions.
